A boom sprayer is a type of agricultural machinery that disperses liquids and is a type of agricultural pesticide application machinery. This type of sprayer has high operating efficiency, good spraying quality, and evenly distributed spray volume. It is suitable for large-scale spraying of liquid preparations such as various pesticides, fertilizers, and plant production regulators. It is widely used in lawns, nurseries, wall vineyards, and specific occasions (such as airports, road snow melting, highway weeding, etc.).
Boom sprayers can be divided into three types: suspended, fixed, and towed. The suspended sprayer is connected to the tractor through the tractor's three-point suspension device. The various components of the fixed sprayer are fixedly mounted on the tractor. The towed sprayer itself has a chassis and travel wheels, which are connected to the tractor through a tow bar.
The main working parts of the boom sprayer include: liquid pump, liquid tank, nozzle, anti-drip device, agitator, boom truss mechanism, and pipeline control components, as shown in Figure 8-48.
